Level Up Your Math Game

Math is often referred to as the universal language of the world. Solving a math problem should not be hindered by socio-economics, race, ethnicity, or language. Math can be used to explain almost everything about the world that we live in, yet it is one of the most difficult subjects for students to excel in. Our students are struggling to understand, interpret, and connect math to everyday life. We theorize that when students are confident about their math identity, there should be a direct correlation to student achievement in Math.

Level Up Your Math Game explores the reasons behind underachievement in math and the strategies needed to improve student performance. It outlines steps to create structures for consistent data analysis, strategic planning, high-quality teaching, and reflective practices. By providing teachers with the time, tools, resources, and support, they can deliver instruction aligned with the Common Core math standards, resulting in improved student achievement and identity in mathematics.
