Jennifer Rehn-Losquadro Cahn Fellow 2022

Wagner Middle School is a New York City Public School located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan enrolling students in grades 6 - 8.  Wagner serves students in our zone and also welcomes students that live in District 2.  As a result, Wagner has a very diverse student population.

We make a commitment to our students, staff and families to ensure they feel a sense of belonging in our school community.  Our shared definition of belonging is Wagner Community Members foster a sense of self that is accepted and affirmed by staff, students, families and community partnerships.

By implementing a variety of academic practices and experiences, we strive to promote positive social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students.  Join us on our journey to learn how we are fostering a school community where students feel healthy, safe, supported and a sense of belonging.

The Cahn Project provided us an opportunity to investigate and reflect on our practices to ensure that we are meeting our commitment to belonging for a positive environment for all members of our community.
