Enhancing Student and Teacher Relationships through Mentorship

Scott Saperstein Cahn Fellow 2019

Our Cahn project involved creating and developing a student mentoring program that provided children with the opportunity to bond and build relationships with adults at our school. Our project aimed to shift student perspectives from feeling as if adults at our school did not care about them, to feeling as if they are important and have a voice. Our year long journey examines the process of initiating and maintaining a successful program, while ensuring that it is nourished as it evolves over time and remains part of the fabric of our school.
