Systems for Equity

Jennifer Dichter Cahn Fellow 2020

For the purpose of our project we focused on two central questions: Are we providing equitable access to grade-level standards for all students and, are all students receiving what they need academically? This process was a testament to the quote, “Every system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets,” by W. Edwards Deming. When students show you they are two to three years behind grade-level expectations, systems need to change to support them. Within the narrative, you will learn the leadership moves and journey needed to ensure equitable access for all students with the appropriate systems of support for students who are below grade level.
