An Exploration into Culture and a Pivot to Crisis School in a Pandemic

Audrey Sofianos Cahn Fellow 2019

Our Cahn project focused on school culture, through an examination of student perception data and teacher feedback. We selected this project after persistent years of stagnant growth in the student portion of a state climate survey, and a differential between high achievement and overall student climate ratings. The project was planned as a yearlong endeavor, with continued data analysis, action, and reflection but was paused due to the shift to crisis school and the global pandemic of Covid-19. Our plan is to continue our focus on school culture once our school reopens for in-person learning.
